At the General QuarterGeneralSession of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden
for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid on Monday in
the [..] week next after the Feast [..] of the Epiphany to wit the eighth day of Januaryin the twenty sixth year of
the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain Etc. before
[..] Robinson Thomas Lane< no role > George Errington< no role > John Defender William Withers< no role > walter Bury< no role > Esqr
and other their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep the peace in
the County aforesaid and also to here and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and oth [..]
misdeeds committed in the same County.

Upon hearing of the appeal of the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor
of the parish of St. Botolph without Bishop gate London against an
Order under the hands and seals of Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esquire and
Sr. Samuel Gower< no role > Knt . two of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the County of Middx bearing
date theday of November in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and fifty two whereby Elinor Kinley< no role > therein
mentioned to be wife James Kinley< no role > together with her Child
named Mary Ann< no role > aged about two Years were [..] removed
from the parish of saint John of Wapping in the said County of
Middx to the said Parish of St. [..] Botolph without Bishopgate
London called in the said Order of removal the parish of saint
Buttolph without Bishopgate in the City of London ,it being
in the said Order that the said Elinor Kinley and her said Ch [..]
as the place of
as the last legal place of settlement of the said Elinor Kinley
and her said Child it being mentioned in the said Order that they were like to
become chargeable unto the said parish of Saint John of wapping And
upon hearing of what was alledged by Councel for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Saint
Botolph without Bishopgate London and also by Counsel for the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St. John of Wapping , and
upon examination into the premisses upon the Oath of the said Elinor
Kinley It appeareth to this Court thatthe is an Irish Woman, and that
about five years ago she was hired as a servant to one Mr. Fitzgerald
a Merchant in the said parish of St.BoldBotolph without Bishopgate
London, and that she lived with him as a servant in that parish upwards
of a year, and then quitted her service, and was married to the said
James Kinley< no role > her present husband, and had by him the said Child
named Mary Ann< no role > about two years of age, And that her said Husband
was an Irish Man, and never had (to her knowledge or beleif) gained any
settlement in Ireland, and that she doth not know where her hath any
settlement in Ireland, and that he was brought up a sailor and about
two years ago he entred into his Majestys service as a Sailor on board one
of his Majesty's ships of war bound to the West Indies, and that about two
