dept. did on the Ninth day of April instant leave Notice in writing at the Prosecute
Lodgings in dudley Court in the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields in the said
County of Middlesex with a Woman there who said she was not the Prosecutors
wife but that she did the same for him as a Wife Purporting that he the said
Dept. did intend to try the Traverse upon the Indictment found against him in
the above Cause as this day at Hicks Hall in the County of Middlesex which
said Notice was directed to Rice Edwards< no role > the Prosecutor in the above Cause and the
Person above mentioned who received the said Notice from this dept. then told
this dept she wou'd Carry the same to the Prosecutors Attorney And this dept.
further saith that the same day he did deliver to Mr Comptons Clerk at his
the said Mr Comptons House in Orange Street near Red Hon Square another
Notice in [..] writing to the same Purport and Effect as above set forth and
which said last mentioned Notice was directed To Mr John Compton< no role > Attor [..]
Solicitor or Agent for the Prosecutor in the above Cause which said Mr
Compton as this dept. had been informed and verily beleives is concer [..]
for the Prosecutor in the said prosecution
