To his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex in their General Quarter Session assembled

The humble Petition of Appeal of Thomas
Bell
< no role > of the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields
within the Said County Lumen Draper

Sheweth


That on the 14th. day of July last past Edward Sartell< no role > This name instance is in set 3563. came before
Henry Fielding< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices assigned to keep the Peace of
our Sovereign Lord the King in and for the Said County and exhibitted before the
Said Justice a certain Complaint and Information in Writhing Charging That
after the 24th day of June 1748 to wit on the 13th day of July then instant in the
Parish of St. Martin in the fields in the County aforesaid your Petitioner a
quantity of Cambrick did sell to one James Limbrey< no role > (which said Cambrick was not
exposed to sale for Exportation.) contrary to the form of the Statute in that Case
made and provided By reason of which your Petitioner had forfeited to the said
Edward Sartell the Informer in that behalf the Sum of five pounds of lawful
Money of Great Britain On which Said Information you Petitioner has been
convicted before the said Justice and the said Justice did therein adjudge that
Your Petitioner had forfeited the said Sum of five pounds and that your Petitr.
should pay the same to the said Edmund Sartell< no role > This name instance is in set 3563.

That you Petitioner apprehends himself aggrieved by the said Conviction
and Adjudication

Your Petition therefore according to the Said Statute
most humbly Appeal to your Worships in the Said General
Quarter Session assembled against the Said Conviction and
Adjudication and humbly prays that the said Conviction and
Adjudication may be reversed set a side and that your
Petitioner may be further releived in the Premises according
to the Judgment of this Court and as the nature of the Case may
require And also that your Worships will be pleased to appoint
a day for hearing the said Appeal

And your Petitioner Shall ever Pray Etc
