To the Worshipfull his Majesties Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middx in their General
Quarter Session Assembled

The Humble Petition of William Warrilo< no role >
now Confined in Clerkenwell Bridewell

Humbly Sheweth

That Your Petitioner by the Judgement of this Court
was on Saturday last Ordered to be publickly whip't
from the White horse door in white Cross Street to Old Street
Church in the parish of St Luke Middx for the taking
One pewter pint Pet the Property of Mr Taylor of the
said Parish

That your Petitioner is by Irade a Brewer
and has a Wife.

That he has resided a long time in the parish afd
and by reason of his Business of a Brewer he can be
Imployed with Advantage in the said Trade there the Better
to maintain himself & Wife & that the Publick Punishmt
afd, if Administerd may tend to the utter ruin & disquist
of your Petitioner & Family

Your Petitioner therefore most
Humbly Prays that the said Judgementor
Order may be Varied as to his your Petrs
being Publickly Whip't in-to Private
Correction & Such Imprisonment as your
Worships Shell Judge Adequate to this Crime
& the Judgement before mentioned
