Mett at a General Quarter Sessions of the Peace
held for the County of Middlesex at Hicks' Hall
in St John Street this Sixth Day of May 1736

The Humble Petition of William Ellis< no role > of South Mimms
in the sd County Sheweth.

That Your Petitioner Being Appointed
by this Honble Bench Passing Constable
for Conveying Vagrants in and through
this County or the Year 1734: at the Yearly
Salary of Thirty Pounds That he did Convey
the sd Vagrants from A lady Day 1734 to
A lady Day 1735: That he hath recived
fifteen Pounds. for the First Half Year which
was Due as Michaelmas 1734: That
There was Due to him at a Lady Day 1735
Fifteen Pounds for his Expences and
Trouble in Conveying the sd Vagrants
He being a very Poor Man Humbly Hopes
this Honble Bench: Will Order try shall
be paid the sd Sum of Fifteen Pounds

And Your Petitionr shall ever Pray
