Joseph Garnet< no role > of the parish of St. Clement Danes in
the County of Middx Victualler Prosecutor in this
Cause maketh oath that on Saturday last being the
Sixth Day of July Instant at the Depts. dwelling
House in ship yard in the parish and County
aforesaid He this Dept. was personally Served by
a person to this Dept. unknown on the behalf
of the Defts with the Several Notices hereunto
annext And this Dept. upon his Oath further Saith
that He Verily believes the Said Defts Did cause
the said Notices so to be Served as aforesaid
with an Intent to put the said Dept. to a great
and unnecessary Expence for as much as the said
Defts or either of them have not as yet as this
Dept. is informed Sued out any Venice in the said
Cause or Shown any other intention of Trying the
Same Except as by the Said notices doth appear
And this Dept. Saith that upon the said Notices
being served as aforesaid He this Dept. was
obliged to be at the Expence of drawing Briefs
and Seeing Councell to attend this Cause
