The Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poore of
Staines in Middx
against Watson Seymour< no role >
touching one Elizabeth Taplings< no role > being
with Child of a Bastard

James Hampton< no role > of Uxbridge in the County of Middx
Gent Maketh Oath That he this Depont. Did on the
Thirtieth Day of [..] September last past , Go the Dwelling
house of Mr Love one of the Church Wardens of the
parish of Staines aforesaid at the said Defendants fathers
Request to Enquire what had been Done Relating to
the said Bastard Child Whereupon the said Mr Love
showed this Deponent She Examinacon of the said
Elizabeth Tapling< no role > taken [..] before Sr . Thomas Reynell< no role >
Barrt . and Mr Andrews the two Justices on or about
the fourteenth of July last Whereby the said
Elizabeth Tapling Swore that the said Defendt. [..]
Watson Seymour< no role > the latter End of January or the
begining of Febry. last had divers times Carnall
knowledge of her Body and at one of which times she was
gott with Child of the said Bastard And the said Mr.
Love [..] told this Depont. that the said Elizabeth Tapling
was Delivered of the said Bastard Child in July last
And that there had been no other Examinacon of the
said Elizabeth Tapling Since the Birth of the said Child
And that no Adjudicacon or Order of any two
Justices was Made therein And this Deponent
further Saith That he Did on Monday Morning
last past personally Serve the said Mr Love with
a true Coppy of the Notice here unto Annexed And
further Saith That he left another Coppy of the said
Notice with the Wife of Mr. Harman one of the
Overseers of the Poor of the said parish on Monday
Morning last
