Middlesex Gent . Solliciter for the defendt. maketh
oath that he this Depont. did on the twentieth
day of this instant May at the hour of one a
Clock in the afternoon of the same day deliver
a notice in writing signed or by the Defend. unto the
prosecutor Catherine Campbell< no role > at her lodgings
in Umegar yard in Drury lane purporting that
the sd. Defend. intended to trye the traverse on
the Indictment She has preferred agt. him for
assaulting & wounding her with an Intencon to
comit a rape on her at the then next genall
Sessions of the peace to be held for the County of
Middlesex at Hicks's hall in St. John Street
in the sd. County on Wednesday then next being
the 24th. day of this start May at ten of
the Clock in the forenoon of the same day
