John Kendricke< no role > the prosecutor in this Cause maketh Oath
that he sent down to Cambridge the place of John Loats< no role > his habitation
& made Strikte Inquiry after him but cannot tell where att preset
to Find him bat doe Find by letter from thence wrote by the brother
of the said John Loats in answer to the Deponts.ththat the said John
Loats< no role > is gone upon his private affaires further up the Country but to what
place it was not knownwhich Leo is hereto annexed and this Depont
saith that the said John Loats is a meteriall Evidence for the prosecutor
in this Cause without whose Evidence he this Dept cant safelly prosecute
try the same & this Dept veryly beleives that he shall be able to produce
the said John Loats before the Court at the next Sessions be beheld at Hickshall
as an Evidence for the prosecutor in this Cause and this Dept further saith
that yesterday to ye most of his power Endervourd. to have notice for the
Defendant in this Cause at his labr habitation in writeing signed by this
Depont purp [..] ing that this Court would be moved as this day to put of the
tryall in this Cause for want of John Loats being to be found so as to be
present at the said tryall he being a meteriall Evidence in this Cause
this Dept goeing to the last place of abode of the said John Horsman< no role >
as this Dept was informed & when he came their was told he the said John
Horsman< no role > was removed to his Sisters whether this Dept went & was
informed there he did not lodge there nor could or would they informed
him this Dept when he did Lodge so as this Dept was & is utterly
unnaquainted with his the Said John Horsman< no role > last place of abode
other then aforesaid
