Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish
of Ilmister in the County of Somerset exhibited their humble peticon
and appeale unto the Court of General Quarter Sessions of the peace
holden for the County of Middx on Monday the twenty ninth day of
June last Settingforth that by an Order under the hands and Seales of two
of his Maties Justices of the peace for the County of Middx bearing date
the twenty third day of April last past Mary < no role > the wife of William
Burridge
< no role > and William < no role > and John their< no role > children were removed from
the parish of St. Margaret Westminster to the said parish of Ilmister
called in the said Order the parish of Elminster in the said County [..]
Somersett as the place of their last legal Settlement, And that the
Peticoners thought themselves agrieved by the said Order of the said two
Justices and did appeal therefrom to the said Court And the hearing
and determining the matter of the said appeale being adjourned
by the said Court, and the same being appointed to be heard and
determined at this present General Quarter Sessions, Now upon
hearing of Councell for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor
of the said Parish of St. Margaret Westmr. and alsoe by Councell for the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Ilmister
praying that the hearing and determining the matter of the said
appeale may be further adjourned, It is Ordered by this Court that (on
the said Appellants paying to the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the poor of the said parish of St. Margaret Westmr. or their Agent of
such sume of money as shall be taxed to them by the Clerk of the
peace for their costs in attending the Court with their Councell and
witnesses to maintaine the said Order of removall and which Costs
hath been accordingly taxed at forty Shilling (and paid) the hearing
