This Slat is not printed in yt Vol. which We have
in the Office but the Abridgmt. thereof makes no
mention of the Clerk of the market in the clause relating
to the Fee of 1d [..] Bushellfro Sealing a Bushell
Cut says a The Mayor or Chief Officer of every
"such place shall have a speal mark wherewith he
"shall Seal the Measures & Weights there menconed
"and shall take for Sealing of a Bushell 1d. of every
"other Measure an half peny Etc.

It is Enacted "That if any Clerk of the market
"of his Maties house within the Verge shall take
"more than the lawfull & accustomed Fees; or if
"any other person or persons shall exaction tale from
"any person more thanthe Fees there Enumerated
"he should incur the penalties Etc

In the Express words of which Slat there Seems to
be a distinction between the Fees of Cl of the an
Market, and the other persons there menconed
the former is referred to the antient & accustomed
Fees, the other persons to the Fees there Set down
which [..] persons in the beginning of the same Seat
are said to be the Mayor or other head Officer
Lord of the Liberty or other person authorized by the
Laws of the Real in to mark or Seal Etc
