It is Ordered by this Court that the Clerk of the
peace of this County doecausewrite a respectfull
letter to the right honble. the Lord William Powlett< no role >
to acquaint his Lordpp that his Maties Justices of
the peace of this County assembled at Hickshall
on this daythatdesire his Lordpps company
at dinner with them at Hickshall on the County
day of the next Generall Quarter Sessions being
Thursday the tenth day of July next at one of the
clock in the afternoon, and after dinner to inform
them of the motives which his Lordpp & Col Robert
Gardner< no role > had for granting a licence to one John
Gill< no role > at the White horse at Twickenham to keep a
comon Alehouse, after he had been refused the
same, as keeping a disorderly house, by six Justices
of the peace of the Division of new Brentford
assembled in petty Sessions, to whom the said Gill
applyed for that purpose at the last Generall Renewall
of licences for that Division, whereof complaint
wasmadethis day made unto this Court on
behalfe of the said six Justices,
