WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us two of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Mid-
dlesex, (Quorum Unus) by the Church Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Andrew, Holborn , above the Bars in
the said County; ThatElizabeth Couch< no role > wife of William
Couch
< no role > Mariner with her two Children Vizt. William
Couch
< no role > aged about five years and Martha Couch < no role > aged
about One year hath

lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle there contrary
to Law: And it appeareth unto Us the said Justices, and we do
Adjudge, Thatthey arelikely to become chargeable to the
said Parish, and upon Examination ofthe said Elizabeth
Couch

taken upon Oath;
it further appeareth unto Us, and we do likewise Adjudge, That
the parish of Saint Clement East Cheap London

is the Place of the last
legal Settlement of the saidElizabeth Couch< no role > and her said
two Children William Couch< no role > and Martha Couch< no role >
Whitherby Law they ought to be sent

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name, to Charge and Command
the Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
St. Andrew, Holborn , aove the Bars, forthwith to remove and con-
vey the saidElizabeth Couch< no role > and her said two Children
William Couch< no role > and Martha Couch< no role >

from the said Parish of St. Andrew, Holborn , above the Bars, to the
said Parish ofSaint Clement East Cheap London
and deliverthem
to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide forthem
according to Law: Given under our Hands and Seals theTwenty Seven
Day ofNovemberAnno Dom.1728

To the Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of
the respective Parishes of St. Andrew, Holborn , above the
Pars, in the County of Middlesex , AndSaint Clement
East Cheap London
