of the Peace for the County of Middlesex in
Generall Quarter Sessions Assembled

The Humble Peticon of Thomas
Dee
< no role > of the Liberty of Holywell
Street in the Parish of St. Leonard
Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That your Peticoner being (at a Vestry held
for the said Parish) Chose one of the Said Scavengers
for the Said Liberty and being a Person in Years and
Cann Neither write or Read and his wife not being a
Person Capable in his absence to look after the Shop
by reason of some Afflictions which has fallen upon her
and taken away her understanding and Sences that
she Cann Neither buy or Sell soe that it will be to
Continue in this Place a great detriment to your
Peticoner in his trade and business & Livelyhood

Therefore your Peticoner humbly
Prays (for the reasons above Menconed
that Yor. Worshipps would discharge
him from the Office of Scavenger
and Order the Inhabitants to
Chewse an other Person in the Place
of Yor. Peticoner

And Yor Peticoner as in Duty bound Shall
Ever Pray
