prosecutor this cause maketh Oath that the said Thomas Woolcorke< no role >
was the last Michas Sessions indited for wilfull and corrupt
perjury on an Examination taken in the Crown office to Interrogatorys
there exhibited against him for a contempt of his Majties Court of King's
Bench where he stood charged wth. an Attactmt. issued out of ye Sd. Court
upon which Inditmt. this Dept pcured the Lord Chief Justices Warrt.
in ordr. to apprehend of sd. Deft. in the County of Cornwall That Philip
Buscumb< no role > Constable of the parish of St. Breock aforesd. informed this
Dept. he had arrested said Thomas Woolcorke< no role > by virtue of ye Sd.
Lord Chief Justices Warrt. & that he was rescued by the Assistance
of his wife & Daughter & had [..] ded the sd Constable & made his
Escape: That this Dept. heard nothing farther of the Matter till the
third day of this instant January When this Dept. was at the.
house of one Mr Henry Hawkins< no role > Sollr . for the Sd. Thomas Woolcorke< no role >
in ye Sd. County & Cornwall abt, two hundred & thirty unles distant
from London when the Sd. Mr. Hawkins Clerke Served this Dept.
with ye Notice hereunto annexed & thereon this Dept came to London
but never knew or was informed the sd. Thomas Woolcorke< no role > was in
custody hill he came hither vizt. on the eleventh day of the
Instant Janry . so that his Dept. had no [..] to being his
witnesses to London or time for them to travell hither two hundred &
thirty unles as aforesd. or to make ready to prosecute the sd. Indictmt.
this Sessions And this Dept. lastly saith agt he hath many materiall.
Witnesses now residing in the Sd. County of Cornwall in this Cause Vizt.
