William Butler< no role > of New Brentford in the County
of Middx Carpenter and John Mills< no role > of the parish
of Littleton in the same County Carpenter
severally make Oath that they have by direccon
of severall of his Maties. Justices of the peace of the
said County lately taken a View of such part
of a publique Bridge called Chelsea Bridge
as is in the same County to see if any and
what repaires were wanting & necessary to be
done thereunto, And say that the same at the
time of taking such View was & now is
very ruinour & in great decay for want of
repaire, and soe much decayed by the retteness
of the piles which did support the aforesaid
part of the said Bridge that a Considerable
part thereof is broken downe and wholly
impassable for horses, coaches, carts & carriages
And that an immediate rebuilding of such part
of the said Bridge as is an the said County is
absolutely necessary, And that they have
carefully made an estimate of what it will
cost to rebuild the same, And severally say
that in their Judgment the costs & charges
of rebuilding the aforesaid part of the said
Bridge and finding & providing ocken timber
piles, planks, Trusell heads, posts, rails,
gravell, Joyners worke, painting, Iron & all
other materialls for that purpose will at a
reasonable price amount to the Sume of
