Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us two of Her Maties: Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (Quorr unus) by the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St. Giles in the Feilds in the County
aforesaid That Elizabeth Barker< no role > wife of John Barker< no role > now a Soldier
in Her Maties: Service beyond the seas is lately come into the said
parish endavouring to Settle her Selfe there Contrary of Law And
appearing unto us the said Justices that the said Elizabeth Barker
is likely to become chargable to the said parish And Whereas
examination of the said Elizabeth Barker< no role > taken upon Oath it
farther appeareth unto us that about two years since she
rented a house in Dirty Lane in the Parish of St. Martin in
the Feilds in the said County of nine Pounds rent P anno where
she paid to the publick levies in the said parish and we doe not
fine [..] since she left the said Parish of St. Martin in the Feilds that
she hath gained any Settlement elsewhere Wee the said Justices
do adjudge the parish of St Martin in the Feilds to be the place of
the last legall Settlement of the said Elizabeth Barker, and do
therefore, in Her Maties, name charge & command the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor of the Parish of St. Giles in the Feilds forthwith
to remove & convey the said Elizabeth Barker< no role > from the said parish
of St. Giles in the Feilds to the said parish of St. Martin in the Feilds
and deliver her to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor there or
to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive
her in to their care and to provide for her according to Law
Given under Our Hands & Seals the twenty Seventh day of
June Anno Din 1711 .

& Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Martin
in the Feilds in the said County & to all others
