To the Rt. Worshipful his Maties Justices of the peace for the
County of Middle sex in their General Quarter Sessions of the
peace Assembled

The humble petition and Appeal of Joseph Scot< no role >
of Islington in the said County Victualler

Sheweth


That by an Order under the hands and Seals of
Mathew Hewitt< no role > & William Cotesworth< no role > Esqrs . two of his
Majesty's Justices of the peace for the said County (Quor-
unus) bearing date teh 5th. day of September last past
Your Petitioner was Adjudged the putative Father of a-
Male Bastard Child born on the Body of Judith Southby< no role >
Single woman within the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell
in the said County, and by the said Order, amongst other
Things, Your Petitioner was Ordered to Pay divers Summs
of Money towards the relief & and Mantainance of the
said Male Bastard Child in teh Said Order of Adjudication
particularly Express'd and Contain'd.

Your Petitioner finding himself Aggrieved by
the said Order of the said two Justices of the peace,
humbly Appeals against the Same to this-
Honourable Court, and Prays a day may be
Appainted this present Quarter Sessions for the
Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of
the said Parish of St. James Clerkenwell and
all other Persons concern'd to Attend this Court,
to hear and Abide the Judgement and
determination of this Court touching the said
Appeal

And Your Petitioner shall ever pray Etc.
