WHereas it appeareth unto us, whose Hands and Seals
are hereunto fet, two of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlx
(Quorum unus) upon Complaint of the Church-
wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St James Clerkenwell
in the said County, that Elizabeth Clare< no role > Singlewoman
hath

lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle
herselfe there, without giving Notice in Writing to the said
Church-wardens, or Overseers of the Poor, or any one of them, of the
House of her a bode in the said Parish, according to
the Statute in that Case made and provided: And that the said Elizabeth
Clares

likely to become chargeable to the said Parish: And whereas it appear-
eth unto us the said Justices, upon the Oath of the said Elizabeth Clare< no role >

that she was last legally settl'd in the Parish of
allhallows Barkin in the City of London whither
by Law she ought to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, strictly to charge and com-
mand you, and every of you, forthwith, upon Sight hereof, to remove
and convey the said Elizabeth Clare< no role >
from the said Parish of St James Clerkenwell
in the said County, the next and directest Way to the said parish of
allhallows Barkin in the said City of London
and deliver her unto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the
Poor there, who are hereby requir'd to provide for her
[..] at your [..] . Given under our
Hands and Seals the 16th Day of Novr in the Seaventh
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the
Grace of God of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland, King De-
fender of the Faith, Etc. Annoq; Dom, 1720

of the Parish of St James Clerkwenwell in the County of Middlx

And to the Church-wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Allhallows Barkin in the City of London

And all other whom it doth or may concern, Etc.
