Be it Remembred that on the Sixteenth Day of June 1720 Richard
Boddington
< no role > of Red Cross Street in the Parish of St. Saviours Southwark in
the County of Surry Victular in his proper person as well as for the parish of
St: Martins in the Fields in the Liberty of Westmr : in the County of Middx
as for himself Exhibited to me Jeffery Saunders< no role > Esqr : One of His Maties Justices
of the peace for the said County and Liberty a Complaint and Information
thereby Informing me that One William Addis< no role > Master Taylor in Charles
Court in the Strand in the Parish of St: Martins in the Fields in the Libty
and County aforesaid did then and there on or about the Sixteenth Day of
May last past Sett on or Cause to be made or Sett on by him the said William
Addis
< no role > his Especiall Direcon Seven douzen and Two Cloath Button's and
Six douzen and Ten Cloath Holes on a Sute of Cloath Cloaths for James
Brooks
< no role > Contrary to the Act of Parliament in that Case made and provided
whereby the said William Addis< no role > hath forfited the Sume of Twenty Eight
Pounds and thereupon the said Richard Boddington< no role > who as well for the poore
of the said parish of St. Martins in the Fields in the Libty and County aforesaid
as for himself humbly pray's the Judgment of his said Maties Justices that
he may have One Mojety of the said forfiture and the Poore of the parish of St:
Martins in the Fields in the County aforesaid the other Mojety thereof According
to the Direcons of the Act of Parliament in that Case made and provided
Upon a full hearing all the parties I do hereby adjudge and Convict the said William
Addis
< no role > upon the Oath of James Brooks< no role > a Credible Wittness to be guilty of the Offences
aforesaid & forfiture of Twenty Eight Pounds and do hereby order one Moiety to be paid
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poore of the parish of St. Martins in the fields
in the County of Middx for the use of the Poore of the said parish and the other Mojety
to Richard Boddington< no role > the Informer Given under my Hand and Seale this
Twentieth Day of June 1720
