Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose hands & Seales
are hereunto Sett two of his Maties Justices of the peace (quar u [..] )
for the Said County of Middlx by the Churchwarden & Overseers
of the Poor of the hamlett of Wappin Stepney in the Parish of St.
Dunstans Stepney als Stebenheath in the Said County that Frances
Suest< no role > widdow is lately come into the Said Hemlett endeavouring
to Settle herselfe there Contrary to Law and itt appearing unto us
the Said Justices that she is in poor and mean Circumstences
therefore we the Said Justices of the Peace doe adjudge her likely
to become Chargeable to the Said Hamlett And whereas it
further Appeareth unto us the Said Justices upon the Examinacon
of the Said Frances Suest< no role > taken upon her Oath that She was
last legally Settled in the Parish of St. Peter ad vincula in the
Liberty of the Tower of London where she liv'd three yeares as
a hired Servant by the yeare and upon Strict Examinacon
we cannot find any legal Settlement that her late husband
John Suest< no role > ever gain'd therefore we the Said Justices of the
peace doe adjudge the Said Frances Suest< no role > legal Settlement to
be in the Said Parish of st Peter ad vincula in the Said
Liberty of the Tower of London

These are therefore in his Maties Name to will
and require you to Convey and Pass the Said Frances Suest< no role >
from your Said Hamlett of Wappin Stepney to the Parish of St.
Peter ad vincula abovesaid and deliver her to the Overseers
of the Poor there who are hereby required to provide for her
According to Law Given under or heads and Seales this
20th day of February 1718

To the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the
Hamlett of Wappin Stepney abovesaid And also to
the Overseer of the Poor of the Parish of St Peter
ad vincula abovesaid
