Whereas upon reading the humble peticon of Hannah Fields< no role >
widdow & Relict of Isaac Freelove< no role > late of the parish of St. Maries
Islington in this County Yeoman deced exhibited unto this Court
settingforth that in & for the yeare one thousand seven hundred
& fourteen the sd. Isaac Freelove< no role > was chosen & appointed
Churchwarden of the sd. Parish, and served the sd. Office dureing
all the said yeare, and being a Man but of mean circumstances
was at the begining of his yeare obliged to take up fifty pounds
at interest for the necessary support of the poor of the sd. parish,
which interest hath been ever since paid by the Petr; And that at
the end of the yeare her sd. late husband soe served his
Churchwardenship there appeared due to him upon the
ballance of his accompt the Sume of fifty three pounds
eleven Shillings & one penny farthing, which the Petr. hath
been over since kept out of, And that for as much as the Petr. is a
poor destitute widdow & left in mean circumstances and still
burthened with the paymt. of the sd. fifty pounds & interest she
therefore humbly prayed that this Court will be pleased
to referr the examinacon of the truth of her complaint to the
neighbouring Justices of the peace, Or make such other Order
for her releife as to this Court should seem meet, whereupon
It was Ordered by this Court that the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the sd. parish should attend this Court to shew can [..]
why they refuse to reimburse the Petr. the aforesaid [..]
due to her said late husband, Now upon he [..] being of w [..]
was alledged on behalfe of the Petr. (the Overseers of the poor of
the sd. parish being present in Court) It is Ordered by this Court
that it be And It is hereby recomended unto Richard Browne< no role >
John Fuller< no role > & John whetham< no role > Esqrs . three of his Maties. Justices of the
peace for this County inhabiting in or neare the sd. parish of
St. Mary Islington [..] or any two of them to
convene before them the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
poor of the said parish & all other persons concerned, And to
