By Adjournment on Thursday the 28th. day of February 1716 .

Whereas it hath been Usuall for the Justices of the Peace
for this County in every February Sessions to Proceed to the
Election of their Chairman for the ensueing half Year and
also in every September Sessions to proceed to the election of their
Chairman for the half year next ensueing that Sessions And
not with standing their Proceeding to such Election several
Justices of Peace (who have been elected Chairman) have been
respectively continued Chairman of the Sessions of Peace of
this County for Several half years together successively And
this being the Day in this present Sessions for the Election
of a Chairman and John Milner< no role > Esquire one of his Majesties
Justices of the Peace for this County having been Chairman
of the Sessions for the space of one year last past and declining
to act as such (by reason of the fatigue thereof) for the half
year now next ensueing His Majesties Justices of the
Peace for this County now Assembled at this Present
General Sessions Doe Elect Sr. John Bennett< no role > Knt . Serjt.
at Law one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this
County to be their Chairman for the half year now next
ensueing And doe Order that no Justice of Peace of this
County shall for the future be Obliged to continue Chairman
for above the space of half a year next ensueing the time
of his being Elected Chairman of the Justices of the Peace
of this County.
