Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us
Two of His Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middx: (Quorum unus) by the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St.
James Clerkenwell
in the said County that
Ralph Capper< no role >
with
his Two Children one named
William < no role >
aged about
Eight Years the other named
Sarah < no role >
aged
about Five Years are lately come into the said
Parish endeavouring to settle there Contrary to,
Law and it Appeareth unto us the said Justices
that they are likely to become chargeable to the
said Parish and whereas upon Examination
of the said Ralph Capper taken upon oath it
further Appeareth unto us and we doe
adjudge that the Parish of St. Martins in the
fields
in the said County is the Place of the last
Legall Settlement of the said Ralph Capper and
doe therefore in His Majesties name charge and Command
the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. James's Clerkenwell
forthwith to Remove and Convey the said Ralph
Capper and his Two Children from the said
Parish of St. James's Clerkenwell to the said
Parish of St. Martins in the Fields and deliver
them to the Church Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor there or to some or one of them
who are hereby required to receive them into
their Care and to provide for them according to
Law Given under our hands and Seales this 17th
day of January Ann Dom 1716
To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Respective Parishes of St. James's
Clerkenwell and St. Martins in the Feilds
in the County of Middx: and to all other officers
whom it may Concern
