To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
poor of the parish of St. James in the Libty
of Westminster & County of Middx And to
the Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor
of the parish of St Martins in the feilds
in the said County and to each and every of
them

Whereas It appeare unto us Two of his Majties: Justices
of the peace for the County of Middx (Quorum unus)That
Elizabeth Colton< no role > Widd : of Orbert Colton< no role > and their
three Children (Vizt) Mary< no role > aged about Eight years Eliza
:beth
< no role > aged about five years and Ann< no role > aged about
two years [..] are Come and Intruded into the
said Parish of St. James Westm : Contrary to Law
And are becomes Chargeable to the said parish when
of Complaint hath been made unto us by you the
Church Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of Sd. James Westm : And Whereas It appeare
unto us upon Examination taken before us upon
Oath and other Circumstances That the said
Orbert Colton< no role > was Last Legally settled in the said
parish of St. Martins in the Feilds

Wee the said Justices doe therefore adjudge this said
parish of St. Martins to be the parish and place of the Last
Legall Littlement of she said Orbert Colton< no role > and his said
Wife and Children and that they are become Chargable to ye
said parish of St. James These are therefore in his
Majties Name to require & Command you the said Church Ward
ens & Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Sd. James
Westmn : remove and Convey the said Elizabeth Colton< no role >
and her said three Children out of & from your said parish
unto the said parish of St. Martins in the Feilds and them to
deliver to the Church Wardens & Overseers of the poor there or to
some or one of them who are here by acquired to receive the said
Elizabeth Colton< no role > & her said three Children into their Carve & to
provides for them according to Law Here of faile not at your pemit
