Forasmuch as I Lawrence Saint< no role > Le Esqr one
of his Matys. Justices of the Peace for the said County
being ordered by order of the Court of Sessions held at
Hicks's hall in St. Johns Street bearing date the
26th of Feb. last past to Sumon before me the
Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of the Pish of
St. Martins in the Fields in this County and all others
concerned, And then to Examine into the Complt of Hannah [..]
the chife of Richard [..]
her being in great Distress for want of Relief, And [..]
having accordingly Sumoned the said Plies & Caused a Coppy [..]
of the said Order of Court to be delivered unto them Upon
Examining & hearing the whole matter Do find the
Complts Settlement to be in the Pish of St. Martins in
Afore said & that Complt. is in great Want & distress
& hath been grossly abused by her said husband who is
a Painter and Capable of getting three or four pounds
P Week by his Work as I am credibly Informed and
her refuseth to live with his said Wife but Co habits
with a loose idle lewd Woman, Upon the whole matter
therefore, I do think fitt and hereby Order that the
said Richard Seddon< no role > do from the 11th day of January
last allow and pay unto his said Wife Hannah< no role > or to
the Church Warden and oversees of the Poor of the
sd Parish of St. Martins for her Use the full Sum
of eight & twenty Shills P month by Weekly paymt
towards her Support and Maintenance And he for this
pay what is in Arrear And deliver unto her her gold
We ding Ring And for the true P formance hereof he
enter into Bond with Sufficient Suretys and that
he may not present not to have notice hereof give [..]
or his Bail a true Copy of this my Order given under
my hand and Seal this 12th day of March 1714 .
