The humble Peticon of William
Wallis

Sheweth


That by Indenture Dated the 14th Day of June Anno Dom 1714
one Henry Wallis< no role > a poor Boy of the Parish of Hornsey in this
County was by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore
thereof putt and placed to your Petitr: to serve him untill he
should accomplish his full Age of Twenty and One yeares
That your Petitr: was by Agreement with the said Churchwardens
to have five pounds with his said Apprentice But the
Churchwardens did not pay Your Petitr: the sd Moneys
at the Executing the said Indentures Alledging they
had not then Moneys in their hands But promised
him Payment soone after

That Yor. Petitr hath often Demanded the said Moneys
But they refuse to pay him

Your Petitr therefore humbly prays
your Worspps will be pleased to
order the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor to attend this Court
some day this Sessions to shew Cause
why your petitr. should not be paid
the said Five pounds or that He may
be other wayes Relieved as to this
Court Shall Seeme Meete

And Yor. Petitr shall Ever pray etc
