Whereas it appeareth unto as Two of his Maties: Justices of ye. peace
for ye. sd County of (Quor unus) upon ye. Complt. of ye churchwardens &
Overseers of ye. poor of ye. parish of St: Leonard Shoreditch aforesd.
That Frances Hooke< no role > Spinster aged about Two & Twenty Yeares,
is Lately Intruded & Come into their Sd parish; endeavouring to
Setle & examine there She ye. Sd Frances Hooke< no role > not haveinge any
Legall Settlemt. there and Whereas it appereth unto as ye. Sd
Justices, that by reason of ye. poverty of ye. Sd Frances Hooke< no role >
She haveinge nothinge where wth. to maintaine her Selfe She ye. Sd
Frances Hooke< no role > with unavoidable become a great charge to ye. Sd
parish of St. Laonard Shoreditch (if not Speedily prevented)
And Whereas it alsoe appeareth unto as ye. Sd Justices upon ye
examinacon of ye. Sd Frances Hooke< no role > upon Oath, That about
five Yeares agoe she Came from & out of ye. parish of St. Botolph
wth.out Aldersgate aforesd. in ye. City of London aforesd , & there
she Lived & was a Legall hyred Servant by ye. Yeare to & wth.
one Mr. Hitchcock a Turner & Lived wth him & was his
Legall hyred Servant there for ye. space of one whole Yeare
& agreed at Three pounds Ten Shillings P Ann wages; nor Can
We now upon a Strict examinacon find, that she ye. sd Frances
Hooke< no role > hath gained any other place of Legall Settlemt. Since
Wherefore we ye. Sd Justices doe adjudge & deem ye. Sd parish
of St. Botolph wth.out Aldersgate to be ye. Last please of ye. Legall
Settemt: of ye. Sd Frances Hooke< no role > , and that she ye. Sd Frances.
Hooke< no role > ought to be Sent to ye. Sd Pish of St. Botolph without
Aldersgate ,

These are therefore in his Matis: name to require You on Sight hereof
to pass remove & Convey ye. Sd Frances Hooke< no role > from & out of ye. Sd
parish of St: Leonard Shoreditch to ye. Sd parish of St: Botolph
wth.out Aldersgate , and her deliver to ye. churchwardens & Overseers
of ye. poor there, or to Some or one of them, together wth this
precept, where are hereby required her to receive & provide for
as her occations Shall require, as they doe for other poor of
their Sd parish untill they Can otherwise free themselves of ye.
charge thereof by due Course of Law; And this is Your Warrtt:
