of the County of Middx .

The Humble Peticon of Mary Burn< no role > Widow of
the Hamblet of Wapping Stepney in the Sd. County
of Middx .


That yor Petrs. late Husband Garret Burn< no role >
deced was Master of a Man of Warr & in
his life time yor Petr. & Familyhood very
reputably & paid all Such Taxes to the poor as
were Assessed upon them But now yor Petr. being
left A Widdow wth. two Children to maintain &
& nothing whereby to Support them bur what She
getts by her own Industry & hard Labour &
being rated two Shillings P Moneth to the
poor of the Sd. Hamlet humbly appeals agt
the Sd. rate being altogether unable to pay it
or any part thereof.

And therefore in Consideracon of the Prmises & forasmuch
as yor Petr. by reason of her poverty is not able to pay ye. Same
prayes yor Worships will be pleased to order that She may be
wholly discharged from ye Sd. Assesmt. or otherwise order for
reliefe of yor Petr. in ye Premises as to yor Worships in yor
goodness Shall Seem meet.

And Yor Petr Shall ever pray Etc.

To be reduced to 12d. P Moneth as from
Xmas last.
