Hall in and for the County of Middlesex

The humble Peticon of Thomas Bates< no role > .

The humbly Sheweth


That your Petitioner having for some years Officiated at
Prison as Turnkey , and in the absence of the late (and present) Keeper of the
Prison attended this honble: Bench (hee hopes to Satisfaction)

That your Petitioner being, informed, that your Worshipps
in [..] to dismiss Mr. Lowthorpe the present Keeper, from his said Office,

That your Petitioner haveing by his constant attendance
Turnkey Etc a: (as he humbly conceives) qualified himselfe for the
[..] hance of his Duty (if your Worshipps shall please to admitt him

Most humbly prays that this honoble:
Bench will be favourably pleased to Elect
your Petitioner in the Room of Mr. Lowthorpe
(if dismissed) Keeper of your said Prison

And yor: Petitionr: (as in Duty
bound) shall ever pray Etc.
