Mercur 9 o. die Januar 1711

Upon complaint made unto this Cst by of the Constables of the parish of St. Andrew
Holborn & other parishes within the City of London that divers
Vagrants have been by Order of severall of her Maties. Justices of
the peace for this County directed to be conveyed to severall
place in other Countys adjoyning thereto, And that severall other
Vagrants havebeenby Order of severall of her Maties. Justices of
the peace of other Countys been brot. into this County in order to
be conveyed thro this County to severall places in other distant
Countys, And that the respcive Constables of this County instead
of conveying such Vagrants from the respcive places where
they are apprehended in this County or brot. byanywarrt. of
any Justice or Justice of the peace of any other County, to the
nextfirst parish of place in the next County adjoyning to this County,
Doe often convey them to London and from thence such Vagrants are conveyed into this
County againe to be sent tothesuch first parish or place in
the next County adjoyning thereto, whither they ought at
first to have been conveyed by the Constable who first receives
the same in this County, whereby the Inhitants of this
County are put to a double & needless expence, For prvencon of
such inconvenience for the future It is thought fit and Ordered
