Appeale being made to this Court by the Churchwarden and Overseers
of the poor of Chipping Barnett in the County of Hertford against a
Warrant or order dated the twelfth day of July last under the hands
and Seales of Sr. Richard Newdigate Bart < no role > Ralph Hawtrey< no role > and John
Jenyus< no role > Esqrs three of her Maties Justices of the peace for this
County of Midds whereby one Elizabeth Thompson< no role > with her two
Children were removed from the Town of Uxbridge in this County
to Chipping Barnett aforesaid as the place of the last Settlement
of the Said Elizabeth Thompson< no role > And upon reading of the Said
recited Warrant or order And-hearing of Mr. Mallett of
Councell for the Said Towne of Uxbridge in the Prsence of Mr
Darvell of Councell for Chipping Barnett aforesaid Itt appeared
to this Court that the Said rented Warrant or order is insufficient
in Law and desertive in forme This Court doth therefore quash
and parate the Said recited Warrant order of the Said [..] stet
Ralph Hawtrey< no role > and John Jenysus< no role > Esqrs and the Same is hereby quashed
and vacated accordingly And itt is further ordered by this Court
that the Said Elizabeth Thompson< no role > with her Sd two Children be
forthwith removed and conveyed back fromthe Said parish
Chipping Barnett aforesaid to the Said Towne of Uxbridge and
that they be delived to the Chappell wardens and Overseers of
the poore or one of them with a Coppy of this order who are hereby
required to receive the Said Elizabeth Thompson< no role > and her Sd two
Children into their care and to provide for them according to
Law, And itt is further ordered by this Court that theChappell
Chappell wardens and Overseers of the poor of the Said Town of Uxbridgedoesome or one of them
upon notice hereof doe forthwith pay or cause to be paid unto the Church warden
and Overseers of the poor of Chipping Barnett aforesaid or one of them the Sume of twenty Shillings towards the charges
they have been put to for the maintenance of the Said Eliza Thompson< no role > and her Said two Children Since their removall
to Chipping Barnett aforesaid and the Costs & expences of their appeal to this Court thereupon
