said husband who was a prisoner in the said prison for<lb></lb>
one whole yeare and upwards & this Depont hath been sevall<lb></lb>
times hundred & obstructed from carrying pvisions to sevall<lb></lb>
of the prisoners in the said prison, and that the prisoners<lb></lb>
have not been allowed water to drink in the said prison<lb></lb>
Ever since July last but what has been<obscured></obscured>
in from<lb></lb>
the neighbours adjoyneing to the sd prison, and that the last<lb></lb>
Winter there dyed Seaventeen or Eighteen prisoners in the said prison<lb></lb>
most of which were (as this Depont verily beleives) starved to death<lb></lb>
with Hunger & cold & were not allowed straw to lye on, And<lb></lb>
this Depont hath often times seen the prisoners in the said<lb></lb>

Deponent hath often times seen some of the prisoners in the<lb></lb>
same prison to eat turnip topps, pareings of turnipps, pease<lb></lb>
shells<obscured></obscured>
heane shells which they took off the Dunghill in the<lb></lb>
yard of the said prison and often times to pull & eat the Vine<lb></lb>
leaves of the<obscured></obscured>
in the said yard as<obscured></obscured>
as the said pri<lb></lb>

could reeach and this Deponent hath often times<lb></lb>
carried Cabbage leaves and other things for the prisoners<lb></lb>
to eat according as they have begged of this Depont, and<lb></lb>
further saith that about four or five months since a poor<lb></lb>
child who had been a prisoner in the said prison<obscured></obscured>
almost<lb></lb>
Starved to death Vict hunger, was turned out of the said prison<lb></lb>
and had crawled as farr as <rs type="placeName" id="LMSMPS50117_geo7">Newcastle house</rs>
