Whereas due proofe hath been made unto We whose
hands and Seales are hereunto Sett Two of her Majestys
Justices of the peace for the said County of Middx & Liberty of
Westm. (Quor unus) upon the Oath of Easter Hopwood< no role > Single
Woman Mother of a Female Bastard Child borne the 21o: day
of Aprill last past within the parish of St. Martin in the feilds
in the said Liberty of Westm. & baptized Elizabeth< no role > , That George
Hickman
< no role > did begett on the body of the said Easter Hopwood
the said Female bastard Child which Child is become Chargable
to the said parish of which the Church Wardens & Overseers of
the poor have Complained

Wee the said Justices upon the Examinacon of the said Easter
Hopwood the Mother and the Circumstances thereof Doe hereby
Adjudge and Declare the said George Hickman< no role > to be the
Reputed Father of the said Female Bastard Child borne of the
body of the said Easter Hopwood as aforesaid, And thereupon
wee doe Order as well to Save Harmless and Indempnifie
the said Parish as for the Maintaining & keeping of the
said Female Bastard Child. That the said George Hickman< no role >
shall forthwith pay or Cause to be paid unto the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said parish for and
towards the Expence and Charges of the byeing Inn of the
said Easter Hopwood the Sume of Eleven shillings and
Six pence a Weeke for the first foure Weekes from the birth
of the said Female Bastard Child. And after the Expiracon
of the said foure Weekes the said George Hickman< no role > shall pay
or Cause to be paid Weekly & every Weeke the Sume of Two
shillings & Six pence of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain
for soe long time as the said Child shall remaine Charg
-able to the said parish

And lastly wee Doe Order that the said George Hickman< no role > do give Good and
Sufficient Security well & Sufficiently to Prforme & keep this Our Order, Otherwise
to give [..] Sufficient Sureties for his personall Appearance at the next
Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace to be holden for the said County or Libty
there to Answer the Contempt & to Stand to & abide by such further Order as the
Justices there Assembled shall think fitt to make herein. Given under Our
hands & Seales this 27o. day of May Ao. 1710 :
