The Examinacon of Anne Pockett< no role > of the parish of
St. Margt. Westmr . Singlewoman

Who Saith Upon her Oath that being a hired yearly Servant to Mr.
Shann in Flower De Life Court in Fleetstreet Victr . She became as quainted
with Mr. Thomas Edwards< no role > a Pastry Cooke in Fleetstreet aforesaid
And further Saith that the Said Thomas Edwards< no role > by many insmnacons
Soe for prevailed with her this Examint. as to have the Carnall knowledge
of her body at his owne house in or about the Month of June last
and Severall times afterwards whereupon She conceived with Childe and
that the Bastard Childe or Children wherewith She is now pregnant
were begottern by the abovesaid Thomas Edwards< no role > and by not person
else And further Saith that being in Company this day with the Said
Thomas Edwards< no role > he the Said Edwards Desired this Examint. [..]
to charge Charles Whitehead< no role > or Some other person to have gotten the Said Bastard Childe or
Children wherewith She is now pregnant which if She would doe he
promised to give her five pounds, and a Note of twenty pounds to
beare her harmlesse and come ale her having charged him the Sd Edwards
before
