A Proposall having been made, that the Woman Convicts
now in Newgate, to whom Her Majesty has been inclined
to extend Her Grace and Mary upon condition of Transportacon
may instead of being transported be Sent to Some houses of
Corection to be kept to hard Labour as a More likely way
to break Tenn of their wicked Course of Life, and to d [..]
others from the like will practices by their examples, and
Her Majesty having referrd the consideration of that matter
to the Lord Mayor and City of London, who have thereupon
proposed to receive Such Convicts as have been condemned
within the City of London and Liberties thereof, I am now
commanded to acquaint You, that it is Her Majesty's pleasure,
You take this matter into Your consideration also, So far as
may relate to Women Convicts within the County of
Middlesex, and propose to Her Majesty such House [..]
