This with ye inclosde acquaints my worthy
Friend, yt at ye referrence, Justice was done, in reducing
my parish taxes, to th' Rates paid formerly, But yet
no mercy shewn to my necessitous condition, wch seems
to happen because ye prayer of my first peticon

Wherfore, & by reason of ye severe threats of ye
poors overseers (since) to Raise my taxes again at
Easter because I cannot pay ye Rates as new settled,
I have Drawn this new peticon, but will not ex
hibit it without Serjeant munday's approbation,
advise, & incouragemt, for wch I wait, & humbly
pray, may be remitted to me, (privatly) either (by
my Friend Jo: Benlow< no role > ,) in word or writing, wch shall for
ever oblige, the serjeants.

Most humble graceful &
obliged Friend & Servant

Wher. I Dwelt at Higate , there was one
Dan: Coverdale< no role > (a person lesse indigent

an order of sessions, excusing his
