The Informacon of Lewis Elstob< no role > Steward to the
Rt. Honble the Earl of Carlisle taken on
Oath this 4th day of December Ano. Din 1702

Who Saith that on Munday morning Last being
the 30th of November last the Earle of Carlisle
with his Retinue being at the George Inn at
Stamford in the County of Northampton three
being [..] John Clark< no role > in the Sd Inn who broke
open one Maile trunk & feloniously Stolen
from thence a blue Coat lined wth black Sick
a black Silk wastcoat a pair of White Cloth
breeches Cared wth Gold Lace three yards of fine
black Cloth Six Shirts & Six Cravats three pair
of Stockings & Some old Silver the goods of this
Infromt. & a Silver Watch the goods of this
Informts. Sisters Eliza Elstob< no role > And this Informt.
further Saith that he Cut a Leather Maile
& feloniously Stole from thence twelve Silver
hafted Case knivds one Small Silver hafted
knife a Case wth a Silver hafted knife & a
Silver Spoon And a little pocket book the
goods of the Right Honble the Earl of Carlisle
and Severall other goods in all to the value of five
pounds or upwards all which he hath Confessed
to this Informt.
