of the Parish
of St. James
Clerkenwell
in the County of Midds.
Sheweth
That yor. Petr. hath duely served the Offices of Head borough and Constable
for the Upper
Liberty of St. John streete
within the said Parish into wth he was elected, his said Office of Constable
ending at Assection day last in the service of wth. Offices yor. Petr. by reason of his dwelling in the
High Northern Roade hath been at a greate Charge in Passing disbanded Sonldiers Cripples Women
Children and other Passes sent to him by Warrants and is really out of Pockett the Since of Fourteene
Pounds and Ten Shillings about such passes their Carriage and Releife Ashe is ready by a faire Accont
to make appeare And yor. Petr. hath no way to be reinbursed but by an Order from yor. Worps.
Yor. Petr. therefore being a Tradesman and the want of his money
very preindiciall to him doth humbly pray That yor. Worps. will be pleased
to order that a Rate may be made by the Churchwardens & Vestry men
of the said Parish to reimburse and pay yor. Petr.
And yor. Petr. shall ever pay Etc.
