[..] County [..] 13th. day of November
Anno Dui 1697.

Who upon his oath saith That [..] Tenth Instant he
[..] from out of yard called the said mile
in the County of Surry, four and forty
Skitt Deales [..] forty four Shillings by one John Mosely< no role >
who hath Congested the same to him this Depont. which said
Deales he afored to Saile to one Nathaniel Harding< no role > a Gayner
lineing to Burley Streete in the parish of St. Martin in the
fields in the said County who hath here to get the same, and gave
notice thereby to this Informant

abovesaid

Who upon his Oathe Saith That on Thursday last, about seaven
of the Clock in the Evening one who calls himselfe John
Mosely
< no role > came to his house in the parish of St. Martin in the
Feilds and told him he had a parcell of deales to hee who upon
this Informt. went along with him to the Savoy Staires when
the said Mosely Shewed him about four and forty deales in
aboute, which they brought up to this Infermant house who
suspecting the said Deales were Stolen, stopt them and Enquiring
on the other side of the Water if any person had lost any deales
heard that severall had Deales, stolen from them and this morning one Mr. John
Moore
< no role > came to his house and chalenged the said Deales to be
his and that they were lately Stolen from him
