Whereas the humble Petition of the Burgesses of the [..]
Liberty (seting forts that there remained in the hands of Charles Pratten< no role > Nicholas
Burroughs
< no role > Nicholas Baker< no role > and Thomas Awbrey< no role > late Constables of the
Dutchy Liberty the Sume of Fifteen pounds and upwards by them collected
towards satisfaction of an Execution against the Hundred of Ossulston for
robery comitted on William Bird< no role > over and above their Same charged an
and Liberty for payment thereof And that they the said Burgesses haveing
erected a substantial and convenient Watchouse for the use of the said Liberty
there remained due to them from the said Liberty the Sum of [..]
pounds for building the same wherefore the said Petrs: did pray that what
moneys should be found remaining in the said Constables hands might be
to the Petrs: towards reimbursing them the money as due as aforesaid) [..]

County or any two of them to examine what moneys the said Constables had

execucon money and to report the same to their Maties: Justices of the ye
at their Sessions Now Wee the said Justices whose hands and Beard
are hereunto set in persuance of the said order did on the first day of
March last meet at St: Clements Churchouse and the said Charles
Pratten

According to there several Summons attend us there And Mr J [..]
one of the Burgesses of the said Liberty being then and there also
did produce the precept of Mr Harris then high Constable dated ye fif [..]
day of July Auno Dui 1690 directed to the Constables of the said Liberty
thereby requireing them together with the some of the Anncinents to make
rate and assessment of the Same of forty five pounds on the Inhabitants
of the said Liberty for and towards satisfaction of the said execucon more
And the said Mr: John Coggs< no role > then and there also produceing the bookes wa [..]
the said rate was collected and received of the said Inhabitants And upon
examinacon of the said precept and bookes of accompt and upon due
consideracon of the said matter and the several circumstances thereof
Wee doe find that the said Charles Pratten< no role > and Thomas Awbery< no role >
did collect and receive of the Inhabitants of the Middle ward & Savoy
part of the said Dutchy Liberty the Sume of thirty three pounds of [..]
they have accounted for the Sume of two and twenty pounds ten shillings
onely And wee do not find that the said Thomas Awbery< no role > did at
time inter meddle with any money that was collected but carryed
book about, therefore wee doagreereportse that eleven pounds nine shillings
of the colleccons of the said two wards remaines solely in the hands
of the said Charles Pratten < no role > And wee do further find that [..]
said William Burroughs< no role > and Nicholas Baker< no role > did collect and receive
the Inhabitants of the Royall and Church wards the other two warder
the said Liberty the Sume of twenty four pounds and fifteen shillings
