Whereas at a Generall Session of the peace
of our Lord & Lady King Williams Queene
Mary of England Etc held for the County of Midd
at Hicks hall in St John Streete in the Sd County
upon tuesday the thirtieth old day of May last
Past , Upon reading the humble peticon of
the Sevrall Churchwardens & Inhabitants of Bow
& Bromley in this County exhibited unto the Court
thereby shewing that a new Watch house had been
lately built us the great real be hee one Bow &
Milend for the better Security of passengers
from sheives and highwayman who used to
Lurke in and about Bearbinder Lane & commit
sevrall robberies in and weare the said road, and
that the charge of a sufficient watch there would
be soe great that the Petr: could not defray the
same without further keepe and prayed that
the Inhabitants of Milend might Contribute
to the said Watch It was there fore thought fitt
and ordered that it should be recommended and
referred to the right Honble the Lord Lucas
Governor of the Tower of London Mr. Foord
Mr. Liysen Mr. Cass Mr. Bohun Mr. Constable
and Mr. Keats Justices of the peace for this
County Inhabiting in the Tower Division or
such on soe many or them as should be & prsent at
the next Petty sessions to be field in the said
Division to Sumon the Curchwardens & Constables
and some of the ancient Inhabitants of Bow
& Bromley and the said hamlet of Milend before
them and to consider of the said Peticon & make
such order upon the said Inhabitants of Bow
Bromley
