WHereasMr Tod Ale house keeper att ye Kings head
in [..] St [..] John Street
in your Parish hath been Lawfully Convicted before me, that he thetwenty second
day ofNovember beingye Lorde Day, did permit divers
personsto tipple inhisHouse, contrary to the Statues in that Case made
and provided: These are therefore in their Majesties Names to Authorise and Require
you forthwith, to Levy the Sum of Ten Shillings of the saidMr Tod
by Distress, and Sale ofhisGoods (if they be not redeemed
within Six days after such Distrees) for the use of the Poor of your Parish, rendring tohim
the Overplus: and in Default of Distress, or Inability of the Offender to pay the said For
feiture, that you see that be he committed to the common Goal, there to remain until Pay-
ment thereof be truly made, And of the due Execution hereof you are to give an Account
at the nextPettySesions to be held for yor Division
And hereof fail not at your Peril. Given under my Hand and Seal this25thday
ofNovemberin the Third year of the Reign of King William and Queen Mary.
