Joseph Adshead< no role > One of the Constables of the parish of
St Giles in the Feilds in Midlen Maketh Oath that last
night this dept being upon his duty in Execution of
his office to Impress Seamen for their Maties service
he this dept Comeing in to the house of Christopher
Hammon
< no role > Victualler in the Sd pish in execution of
his office abt the count of Eleaven of the Clock at
might he there found John Cope< no role > and James Robins< no role >
drinking James Robins< no role > had the Kings Cloath on
but Cope had not Where upon this dept did
Impress the said Cope for their Maties Service having
had Certaine Information that the Sd Cope had
binn at sea, where upon Robins begann to Sweare
at the Sd Constable to deterr him from the Execution
of his office Insoemuch that this dept demanded
the peace to be kept but Robins replyed God
damr me f will not And enddavoured to
draw his sword on this dept And the Sd Cope
getting as word of some or other in the house
Cause at this dept with it drawnr And this
dept verily beleives had killed or dont him
some Mischeif if therewith if he had not binn
prevented And further Saith that both the Sd
Robins and Cope did use such threatening
words to him that if ever they gett their liberty
he verily beleives and feares they will either kill him or
doe him Some bodily harme and therefore prays
and requireth the peace against them both
