and to James And thereby did give to the said and [..] the toll of the said Fayres the proffitts of wch were alsoe
thereby ordered, (amongst other things) to be imployed in the repayres of the Said Bridges and causey
And wee did Farther Find that from the granting of the Said Letters Pattents the Said Towne
of Colebrooke did receive the toll according lie and did repayre the Said Bridges and Countey and that
for Some tyme the toll did amount to moors then did defray the Charges in the Said repayres the Wh
Surplus age pursuant to the directions in the Said Letters Pattents was bestowed in helping to
releive the poore of the Said Towne but for manye Hearts now past and to this tyme the tolls of the Said
Fayres and marketts, have decreased very much and are worth very Little and are by noe meancs
Sufficient to defray the charge of the Said repayres, wee doe therefore Conceiver that the Said
Bridges and Causey ought to be repayred by the proffitts of the Said Fayres and marketts as Far as
they will goe and that what is wanting must be made fox by a rate to be Layed upon all the Inhabitants of the
Said Towne of Colebrooke lying in the Severall Parish of Langley and Horton, And in Stanwell in the
Countie of Middx the whole towne being prited in one corporacon and alsoe did and doe enion the
proffitts of the Said Toll, part of each and every of the Said Fayres being kept in the pish of Langley and
Horton and part in the pish of Stanwell, And one halfe of the great Bridge (the repayres of Wch will
amount to much the greater part of the Charge) lyeth in the parish of Stanwell , All wch [..] wee
referr to the Judgement of this Court, wittnes our hands and Seales this one and twenteeth day of
may in the Second yeare of the reigne of our Soveraigne Lord and Lady William and Mary of
England 8th King and Queene Annogr and 1690
