The Informacons of Henry Hawkin< no role > & Edward
Davis
< no role > taken upon Oath before me (whose name
[..] is Subscribed) one of their Maties Justices of
peace Etc. a in the sd County the 24th. day of Aprill
Anno Dni 1690.

Who joyntly Say, that they are Feild Keepers to Mr.
Edward Fawcet< no role > of St. Mary Islington in the Said
[..] That on the 9th day of this
Instant about Midnight, as they (according to the
wonted Manner) were watching the Droves of Sheep
& other Cattel in their sd Master's Fields, About
Midnight, they heard the usual Noise, wch. droves of
Sheep make by Runing, when they are affrighted, or
disturbed in the might time; Where upon, they, the
Informts. do further say, That they got up, from the
place, where they Sale, or lay, & following the Noise,
made up to the Field - gate; where, they perceived
two men, who had Catched two fat Sheep (of about
3th. valer) out of the sd disturbed Drove; & Lead or
Carried them up to the sd Gate, where, they (as these
Informts guest, for fear of being discodeing) were
Lying Closs & Snug upon the sd Sheep on the ground,
each man upon a Sheep: Where, They, the Informts.
apprehended one of them, who Confessed himself to
be a Souldier in the Right Honble. Lord Coll. Sidney's Regiment.
& his name to be John Bently< no role > ; And that the other escaped
in the dark; whose Name, the sd John Bently< no role >
declared to be; David Kay< no role > , a Souldier also in the
Sd Regimt. And More, the sd Informts. Say not
Save that Hethe Sd John Bently< no role > Confessed the where
Matter of fact before the Justice of peace.
