April 1800.

And Your said Committee further Report
That being informed by Mr.. Aris that the Chimney's
in the New House built for a Residence for the
Governor of the House of Correction smoaked very
much your Committee directed that 12. Chimney
Pots should be placed upon the Chimneys.

That Your Committee desired Mr.. Evans the
Chaplain to the Prisons to provide Eight Dozen of
the form of Prayer for the Fast Day on the 12th.. day
of March last for the use of the Prisoners in the
New Prison and House of Correction at Clerkenwell .

And Your said Committee Lastly Report.
That the Average Number of Prisoners in the House
of Correction since the last Session amounts to 258.
and that Mr.. Webb the Surgeon and Apothecary
stated the Prison to be perfectly healthy.

All which the Committee Submit Etc.

A Letter from Mr.. Charles Beazley< no role > District
Surveyor for the Parishes of Saint James and Saint
John Clerkenwell appointed under the Act of the 14th.
of his present Majesty being laid before this Court
and Read stating that he had not received any
Satisfaction or Emolument for the building of the
New County Goal and praying the Court to Order
him some Allowance for the same It is Ordered
That the Consideration of the said Letter be postponed.

By adjournment same Day.

Mr.. Rogers the County Surveyor having by the
Direction of the Prison Committee laid before this Court
the following Estimate of Repairs necessary to be done
to the Fence on the East side of the Entrance in the House
of Correction Vizt..
