of the proceedings within the Prison and Mr. Thwaites
an eminent Clockmaker was desired to prepare and lay
before the Court on this day an Estimate of the Charge
attending the same which Estimate according to the
different Methods in which the work may be performed
is now delivered in together with this Report.

6th. At the Sixth Meeting holden on Saturday
12th. March 1796. The Committee having finished the
Consideration of the Rules and Orders and having
revised the Minutes of their several Meetings

Resolved That it is the Opinion of this Committee
that whenever any thing is directed to be done by the
visiting Justices the same power may be exercised
by the Committee (in their absence) by any neighbouring
Justice or Justices and that it be recommended to
this Court to cause this Resolution to be added to
and make a part of the Rules and Orders for the
management of the New House of Correction .

It was also proposed at this Meeting that
Mr. Hinley should lay before the Committee at their
next Meeting a Copy of the Table of Fees to be
taken by the Governor of the House of Correction
and the Order of the Court thereon

And it was also Ordered that Michael Gamson< no role >
the Task Master do lay before this Committee the
several Bills and Demands for Articles which
have been Ordered by him for the House of Correction
and also his Accounts of Monies received and paid
by him as Task Master at the said House of
Correction.

7th. The Table of Fees was laid before the Committee
at the Seventh Meeting 19th. March 1796. pursuant to the
Order of the last and this Subject engaged much time
