April 1796.

to take upon themselves the Office of Inspectors of Weights
and Ballances under the late Act of Parliament and
to serve therein gratuitously and for the benefit of the
poor within their said Parish and the following
Gentlemen being nominated for that purpose Vizt.
John Field< no role > of Battle Bridge Gentleman , James Bocock< no role >
of Warren Place near Kentish Town Gentleman ,
Nehemiah Spicer< no role > of Hampstead Road Gentleman ,
John Sturt< no role > of John Street Tottenham Court Road ,
Gentleman Robert Phillips< no role > of Kentish Town Gent
and William White< no role > of Camden Town Gentleman .

Resolved that they be appointed Inspectors for
the said Parish and that they be Sworn in pursuant
to the said Act of Parliament, and the beforementioned
Six Persons being present in Court were Sworn
accordingly.

By adjournment same day.

The Revd. Dr. Glasse Chairman of the Prison
Committee laid before the Court a Report from the
said Committee which he read as follows Vizt.

To His Majestys Justices of the peace for the
County of Middlesex in their General Quarter Session of
the peace Assembled. April 1796.

The Report of the Committee appointed
at the General Quarter Session of the peace
holden by adjournment on Thursday the
14th. day of January last on which day
the Court.

Resolved That a Committee be appointed to inspect
the General Concerns of the Prisons belonging to this County

This Committee consisted of Eighteen Magistrates
specially named to which were to be added such other of
His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace for this County, as
