January 1796.

diminishing One third of the Consumption of Wheaten Flour or to
observed within such foundation or School or House of Industry
or Place of Confinement and to recommend that in all Cases where
Bread shall be distributed in Charity or where any Sums arising
from private Subscription or Donation or from the Poors Rate or
any other Fund shall be applied to supply the Poor with Bread
at the reduced Prices the Bread so distributed or supplied shall
contain a Mixture to the Amount of One third part of some other
Article than Wheat.

And their Lordships further think proper to recommend to
His Grace the Duke of Portland to transmit Copies of the said
Resolutions and Agreements to the Archbishops and Bishops
of England and Wales and the Moderator of the late general
Assembly of the Church of Scotland at Edinburgh desiring that the
said Archbishops and Bishops will in like manner recommend
the said Agreements (or one of them) to be entered into and strictly
observed by the Clergy and Inhabitants of the several Parishes within
their respective Dioceses and that the said Moderator of the late General
Assembly of the Church of Scotland will recommend the said Agreements
to be entered into and strictly observed by every Minister and Preacher
as well of the Established Church as those of the Episcopal Communion
and by the Members of their several Congregations in that part of Great
Britain called Scotland - and their Lordships further recommend to
His Grace the Duke of Portland to transmit Copies of the said Resolutions
and Agreements to the Vice Chancellor of the Two Universities in
England and to the Principals or Chief Officers of the several Universities
in that part of Great Britain called Scotland recommending to them
to use their best Endeavours that the said Agreements or one of them
be entered into and strictly observed within their respective Universities
or Colleges.

And the Court having taken the same into Consideration

Resolved Unanimously "That this Court will adopt the
above Resolutions and Agreements and do their utmost Endeavours
Collectively and Individually to carry the same into Effect.
